Renewable Energy Consultant
We are seeking a Renewable Energy Consultant to support the delivery of consulting assignments related to solar PV, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hybrid renewable projects, grid integration, and project agreements.
This role combines technical, commercial, financial, and project coordination responsibilities. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to provide high-quality advisory support across project development, techno-economic analysis, project management, and renewable energy transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of consulting projects in renewable energy, including solar PV, wind, BESS, and hybrid systems.
Conduct techno-economic assessments, scenario analysis, and financial evaluation for renewable energy projects.
Support the review and development of PPAs, project agreements, tariff structures, and commercial frameworks.
Assist in grid connection, interconnection, and renewable energy integration assessments.
Review policy, regulatory, and market frameworks related to renewable energy investments and project implementation.
Prepare reports, presentations, technical notes, and client deliverables.
Coordinate with clients, developers, utilities, public authorities, and project stakeholders.
Support project planning, workplans, timelines, and internal coordination across assignments.
Contribute to proposal writing, technical offers, and business development activities.
Participate in workshops, meetings, and capacity-building activities with clients and partners.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Sustainable Energy, Energy Economics, or a related field.
3 to 7 years of relevant experience in renewable energy consulting, project advisory, energy systems analysis, or related fields.
Good understanding of solar PV, wind, BESS, grid integration, renewable energy planning, or project development.
Familiarity with technical and commercial aspects of renewable energy projects.
Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Strong written and spoken English.
Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience with techno-economic modelling and financial analysis.
Exposure to PPAs, tariff design, project agreements, or regulatory review.
Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Python, PLEXOS, PowerFactory, PSS/E, MATLAB, or similar.
Experience working on projects in Egypt, MENA, or Africa is an advantage.
