Job Overview

A reputable and established agricultural enterprise, operating on a confidential basis, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager (Agriculture/Dates/Fruits/Farm) to lead their operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, senior leadership position responsible for the overall management and commercial success of a large-scale farm specialising in date and fruit cultivation. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a profound understanding of modern agricultural practices, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence in the farming sector.

Responsibilities

* Provide strategic direction and leadership for all farm operations, ensuring alignment with the organisation's long-term goals.
* Oversee the entire cultivation lifecycle, from planting and irrigation to pest control, harvesting, and post-harvest management.
* Develop and manage annual budgets, control costs, and ensure the farm's profitability and financial sustainability.
* Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of farm managers, agricultural specialists, and labourers to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Implement and maintain the highest standards of quality control for all produce, particularly dates and fruits, to meet market and export standards.
* Ensure all farm activities comply with local, national, and international agricultural regulations, as well as health and safety standards.
* Drive the adoption of innovative farming technologies, sustainable practices, and modern irrigation techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Manage supply chain logistics, inventory, and relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Prepare and present regular operational and financial performance reports to senior management or the board of directors.

Qualifications

* A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Horticulture, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
* Extensive and demonstrable experience in a senior management role, such as General Manager or Farm Director, within a large-scale agricultural operation.
* Specialised expertise in the cultivation of dates and other fruits is essential.
* Strong financial literacy with proven experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and financial reporting.
* Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the agricultural market and regulatory environment in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make effective decisions.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic would be a significant advantage.
