Based in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States, this is a full-time position ideal for an individual passionate about providing exceptional service and contributing to a company known for its quality workmanship and reliability. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, assisting clients in our retail environment with their construction material and supply needs. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $35.00 - $77.00 USD.

Responsibilities

 

• Greet and engage with customers in a professional and friendly manner, offering assistance and product advice.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our product range, including building materials, tools, and other construction-related supplies.
• Assist both trade professionals and the general public with enquiries, helping them select the best products for their projects.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Prepare quotes for customers and follow up on potential sales opportunities.
• Maintain the presentation of the retail space, ensuring it is clean, well-organised, and fully stocked.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock-taking and ordering.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications

 

• Proven experience in a retail or customer service role is essential.
• A background in or knowledge of the construction industry, building materials, or a trade is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse customer base.
• A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Good numeracy skills for processing payments and calculating quotes.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in the use of computers and POS systems.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
