Ready Contractors, Inc., a company with a rich history of providing quality construction services since 1969, is seeking a highly organised and efficient Dispatcher to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this critical full-time role, you will act as the central communication and logistics hub for our field operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and effective allocation of our personnel, equipment, and materials to various project sites, playing a key part in our operational success. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch work crews, drivers, and equipment to appropriate locations according to project timelines and operational needs.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all field personnel, providing clear instructions and logistical support to ensure a seamless workflow.

• Monitor the progress of all assignments and adjust schedules as necessary to manage unforeseen delays or changes.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of routes, schedules, dispatches, and other operational communications.

• Utilise dispatch and routing software to optimise routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure all operations strictly adhere to company policies and industry safety regulations.

• Liaise effectively with project managers and other internal departments to ensure cohesive coordination and successful project outcomes.

• Professionally address and resolve any issues, enquiries, or emergencies that may arise during daily operations.



Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics coordination role, preferably within the construction or a related industry.

• Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

• The capacity to remain calm and make effective, logical decisions while working under pressure.

• Proficiency with dispatch software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required; further qualifications in logistics or a related field would be an advantage.

• Familiarity with the Houston, Texas metropolitan area and its transport network is highly desirable.
