Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our human resources functions and fostering a positive work environment for our dedicated staff. The offered compensation for this role is between $24 to $36 USD per hour, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
As a Human Resource Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities. Your key duties will include:
* Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
* Coordinating the onboarding process for new employees to ensure a smooth and welcoming integration into the organisation.
* Serving as a primary point of contact for employee enquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and benefits.
* Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records within our Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
* Assisting with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures, with professionalism and discretion.
* Ensuring organisational compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
* Supporting the performance management cycle, including annual reviews and goal-setting processes.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and programmes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in human resources principles and a genuine desire to contribute to our organisation's mission. Key qualifications include:
* Proven experience in a similar HR role, such as an HR Coordinator or Generalist.
* A solid understanding of core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in using HRIS software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
* A high degree of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
* A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Experience working within a non-profit or social services environment would be a significant advantage.
