Data Librarian(Work From Home)
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Data Librarian to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, fully remote position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, organising, and ensuring the quality of our organisation's data assets. This role is crucial for supporting our mission by transforming data into actionable insights that help us measure our impact and improve our programmes for the youth we serve.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain data management systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Organise and catalogue key organisational datasets, including information on programmes, members, donors, and outcomes.
• Uphold data integrity by performing regular data quality checks and cleansing activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal data requests, providing staff with timely and accurate information.
• Assist in creating insightful reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to track key metrics and communicate our impact to stakeholders.
• Manage database security, including user access and permissions, to ensure compliance with data protection policies.
• Provide training and support to staff on data entry standards and best practices to promote a data-literate culture.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a data management, database administration, or information science role.
• A strong understanding of database structures, data modelling, and data governance principles.
• Proficiency in managing databases and using data analysis tools; experience with SQL is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• The ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
• A bachelor's degree in Information Science, Library Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working within the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
